Lucita R – Food Processing (Talisay, Cebu, Philippines)
Lucita is 54 years and has 3 dependents: one child and two grandchildren. Her husband, Danielo is a 43 year old businessman.The family lives in Cebu province. For the last 15 years, Lucita has been managing a dried fish business selling fish to wholesale dealers and market vendors. She employs eight workers to assist her. The loan is being provided to allow her to purchase larger quantities of fresh fish through the microfinance organisation Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative, with which she has already completed several prior loan. She hopes to be able to expand her business and hire additional workers.
