Mrs. Kalidjata Hamsetou and Bendiara Group – Business Services (Gounghin Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso)
Mrs. Kalidjata Hamsetou is the leader of the Bendiara group – which includes five women, each of whom operates a small business and will be sharing in the loan and its repayment. Mrs. Hamsetou (standing center with hand raised) is married with four children aged 15 to 24 who all go to school. She is supporting seven people, in large part through her business which involves selling mobile phone recharge cards as well as running a secretarial service business (data entry, photocopy, etc.).
The loan is being processed by Micro Start/AFD, which focuses on building female entrepreneurs’ skills and provide both financial and non-financial services for womens’ businesses in Burkina Faso.
