Fernando – Computer services (La Paz, Bolivia)

Fernando lives in his parents’ house located in La Paz’s Tembladerani zone. Fernando services computer equipment. The loan he’s requesting is to pay for a computer network installation course since his father has an Internet business that Fernando will manage. Fernando plans to specialize in the computer field and hopes to generate more income to improve his quality of life. The loan is being provided through IMPRO, a small non-profit organization offering micro credit to the working poor in the Bolivian cities of La Paz and El Alto since 1995. IMPRO’s goal is to fight poverty by offering loans to small business owners who cannot access credit through the regular banking system due to a lack of guarantees or collateral.
